DCWeek Opening Night: Art in Motion

Share

Don’t let the name “Digital Capital” fool you. DCweek is a celebration of much more than technology. Night one of the festival showcased all forms of art: one-dimensional, installment and digital art, just to name a few. The night lit up with video clips of the Roxxxy sex dollcell phone obsessed performance artists, and fire dancing.

The Long View Gallery was abuzz with music from DJ Harry Hotter and Tom Pipkin on the drums, while break dancers wowed the crowdGraffiti artists honed their craft outside next to eager guests attempting to walk on stilts. The eclectic scene was majestic as all of DC’s social media wizards connected in person rather than on-line.

We’ve got more pics and video to share from this incredible night, if its any indication of the rest of the week, we’re all in for a memorable week.
