As a creative experiment in temporary urbanism and digital innovation, the 24-Hour City Project explores the intersection of data, arts, and technology within the built environment. The project aims to demonstrate how technology, imagination, and innovation can envision our future cities.

How you can get involved:
We’re calling out to all creative technologists, designers, artists, urbanists, data geeks, and anyone interested in how our cities work!

We have an open call for project submissions, and will select 5 teams to each receive a $1000 grant to create a 24 Hour City Project. Submissions close 11:59pm on Monday, October 10th and winners will be announced the following week.

The teams will be selected to create temporary physical and digital exhibitions to see who can most effectively visualize the intersection of data, arts, and technology with the built environment. Through these interactive experiments, teams are encouraged to make the built environment more engaging, creative and fun, relevant to our lives, and accessible to all. About the organizers:
The 24 Hour City Project is a collaboration between Bonnie Shaw, Danny Harris, Julia Klieber, Robert Bole and Scot Kratz. It was originally conceived during the Intelligent Cities Initiative in collaboration with The National Building Museum.
